Today we will visit one of Yokohama's most famous tourist attractions, "Yokohama's Three Pagodas". Each building is available to visit as a museum, so take some time and check three of Yokohama's most famous architectural landmarks!1. King's Tower (Kanagawa Prefectural Government Main Building)The majestic figure towering majestically over Minato Mirai, where Japanese culture and Western-style architecture are interwoven, is a sight to behold. The building was built in 1928 in the Imperial Crown style. The building was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, a master of modern architecture, and features geometric decorative patterns. 2. Queen's Tower (Yokohama Customs) The exotic Islamic temple-style dome of the tower rises majestically in Minato Mirai, exuding a dignity that lives up to its name of "Queen. The Queen's Tower (Yokohama Customs) was built in 1934 in a mixture of Western architectural styles, including Romanesque. The exterior was designed by Tori Yoshitake, who is considered the actual designer of the Diet Building, and the interior was designed by Shimomoto Ren, who designed the Prime Minister's official residence. 3. Jack's Tower (Yokohama Port Opening Memorial Hall) Built with donations from Yokohama citizens, Jack's Tower is the eldest of the "Three Towers of Yokohama", which are well known and loved by the citizens. The design of Jack's Tower (Yokohama Port Opening Memorial Hall) was the result of a competition among Shigeyoshi Fukuda, Yoshitoki Nishimura, and Akira Fujimura, and the building, a mixture of red brick and granite, commemorates the 50th anniversary of the opening of the port of Yokohama and is a National Important Cultural Property. Ariake Harbour SweetsJapanese sweets are generally known for not being overly rich and sweet, and the treats made by Ariake Harbor fit that character.They’ll satisfy your sweet tooth craving but are not cloying–you may even find yourself guiltily reaching for another.
