Yokohama Marine Tower Renewal

Yokohama Marine Tower will be renovated and reopen for business on September 1. The exterior walls of the low-rise portion of the tower will be greened to create a sense of unity with the surrounding environment, including Yamashita Park, and to create a natural flow of people and a space for relaxation. Various events will be held in the plaza in front of the tower. The observation floor, located approximately 100 meters above the ground, has been redesigned as a media art gallery where visitors can enjoy video works while viewing the scenery. On the second floor, there will be a lounge space with books, photo collections, and artwork related to Yokohama, as well as a tourist information center, "Yokohama Travel Library & Community Lounge. As for restaurants in the facility, the casual restaurant "Eggs 'n Things," which was located in the nearby "Star Hotel Yokohama" (closed in 2020), will return as a Yokohama Marine Tower branch.The third floor will be used as a bridal space. Yokohama Marine Tower was built in 1961 as a symbol of the Port of Yokohama as part of a project to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the opening of the Port of Yokohama.

Butter Cafe Bay Quarter

Butter, a pancake specialty store located in Yokohama Bay Quarter, just next to the East Exit of Yokohama Station, has started selling a limited collaboration menu with popular Sanrio characters from July 5 (Tue) to August 31 (Wed), 2022.The eat-in menu offers a surprisingly extensive lineup of sweets, food, and drinks, so you will want to visit again and again. In addition, collaboration macarons are also available as a take-out-only item.An afternoon tea set featuring images of Cinnamoroll, Pochakko, and Pom Pom Pring. Summer vacation events will be held at the Hamagin Children's Space & Science Museum! There will be mystery solving events, special science shows, and many other events perfect for free research! There will be events that you can freely participate in on the day of the event, as well as events that require advance registration, so please be sure to check them out.
